Position Summary
This is a hands on Design and Production position that combines graphic design, technical drawing, print production, and project coordination. The successful candidate will spend part of their day creating artwork, reviewing architectural plans, preparing customer shop drawings, and generating production files, while also assisting with the physical production of graphics and window films.
This is not strictly a desk job. The position includes loading materials into printers and plotters, weeding and masking vinyl graphics, retrieving material from warehouse shelving, packaging completed projects, and working closely with our production and installation teams to ensure every project is completed accurately.

Experience reviewing architectural plans is preferred, but we are happy to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review architectural drawings, finish schedules, and project specifications.
- Interpret project requirements and identify potential conflicts before production.
- Create professional shop drawings for customer approval.
- Revise drawings and artwork based on customer and project team feedback.
- Prepare production ready artwork for cut vinyl and digitally printed graphics.
- Organize production files and maintain project documentation.
- Coordinate with estimating, project management, production, and installation teams.
- Verify dimensions, material selections, and installation locations.
- Maintain quality control throughout the design and production process.
- Prepare layouts that maximize material usage and minimize waste.
- Operate large format printers, vinyl cutters, laminators, and related production equipment.
- Weed vinyl graphics, apply transfer tape, trim materials, and package completed jobs for installation.
- Maintain an organized and safe production workspace.
Software Experience
Experience with the following software is preferred:
- Adobe Illustrator (required)
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe Acrobat
- Microsoft Outlook
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Teams
Experience with large format printing equipment, RIP software, or sign production is a plus, but not required.
Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read construction drawings and architectural plans is preferred.
- Experience creating technical drawings or shop drawings is a plus.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
- Willingness to learn new products, materials, and production techniques.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in producing accurate work.
Physical Requirements
This position includes both office and production responsibilities and requires the ability to:
- Lift and carry rolls of vinyl and window film weighing up to approximately 40+ pounds.
- Load and unload materials onto large format printers, vinyl cutters, and laminators.
- Climb step ladders to safely retrieve materials stored on warehouse shelving.
- Stand for extended periods while preparing production materials.
- Weed cut vinyl graphics and apply transfer tape with a high degree of accuracy.
- Use utility knives, squeegees, and other production tools safely.
- Package, organize, and stage completed projects for installation.
- Occasionally assist with inventory organization and material handling.
Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Architectural plan review.
- Shop drawing preparation.
- Sign or graphics production.
- Large format printing.
- Vinyl graphics or window film.
- Construction, architecture, or related industries.
