About Us
Since 2014, Fleur d' Elegance has been a premier luxury florist serving San Diego County, known for floral artistry that blends Asian, European, and North American design styles. We don't just craft bouquets: we curate emotions, whether that's a large-scale production or an everyday arrangement. Every design, from grand event installations to our daily shop orders, gets the same level of care and attention to detail.
But behind the polish, we're a small, close-knit studio. You won't be one of a thousand employees at a faceless corporate florist; you'll work directly alongside our creative director and design team, learning the craft hands-on and growing with a business that genuinely invests in its people. We believe great floral design happens when a team trusts and supports each other, and we're looking for someone who wants to be part of that.
The Role
We're looking for a Floral Assistant to support our design team in day-to-day studio operations and event production. This is a great fit for someone who loves flowers, thrives in a hands-on environment, and is looking for a long-term home, not just a stepping stone. We're growing, and we'd love for the right person to grow with us for years to come.
Compensation
$18 to $20 per hour, plus tips based on hours worked during peak seasons (Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.)
What You'll Do

- Assist with the assembly of arrangements, bouquets, and centerpieces under the guidance of senior designers
- Maintain a clean, organized studio and cooler, and manage inventory of flowers and supplies
- Support load-in, setup, and breakdown for weddings and corporate events (occasional early mornings, late evenings, and weekends required around events)
- Assist with local deliveries as needed
- Provide friendly, professional support to clients and vendors who visit or contact the shop
What We're Looking For

- Strong attention to detail and pride in doing careful work
- Good customer service skills
- A team player who communicates well and is willing to work hard during peak seasons
- Able to follow directions carefully
- Flexibility to work some early mornings, evenings, and weekends around major events
- Valid driver's license
- Eligible to work in the US
**Preferred (not required)**
- Some background in the floral industry, including knowledge of how to properly process and care for flowers and familiarity with seasonal varieties; actual design skill is not required, and we're happy to train the right person in design down the road if they're interested
- Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or event production
- Coursework in floral design
What We Offer
- Hands-on mentorship from a certified floral designer
- Real exposure to high-end event and wedding floral production
- A collaborative, supportive work culture
