Pizza Port Brewing Company is looking a qualified individual to join our brew team starting as a cellar worker and then growing into an Assistant Brewer at our brewpub located in Carlsbad, CA:
- Cellar Worker - Responsible for waste water knowledge, cleaning brewing equipment, keeping the brewing area organized and clean, the cleaning, filling, handling, and moving of kegs, casks, spent grain, following safety rules, and assisting the brewers in various other tasks associated with the brewery. Starting Salary $19.00
- Assistant Brewer – Responsible for assisting in all phases of the brewing process including dry hopping/recirculating, brewery safety, quality control, and assisting the Head Brewer in various other tasks associated with the brewery. Starting Salary - $20/hour

Required Experience and Education
- Experience in manufacturing environment and proper use of PPE preferred
- Experience with tools and manufacturing equipment
- Understanding of the brewing process required
- Forklift experience and certification preferred
- Brewing experience required for Assistant Brewer position

- Self-motivated and ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and intermediate mechanical skills

Other Considerations
- Must be able to perform the physical aspects of the job: stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. Will have to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel and lift and/or move up to 160 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to use hand tools and other office/brewing equipment
- Will be working in hot and cold environments, working with/around hot substances, hazardous chemicals, and moving machinery.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and be able to provide appropriate documentation to show authorization to work in the United States (I-9).
