Full Job Description

Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years X-Ray experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your expertise as an Imaging X-ray Professional to an engaging contract role dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Your skills as an X-ray Tech/Radiologic Technologist will directly impact patient care and outcomes in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is adept with routine X-ray procedures and demonstrates confidence in the operating room setting.

Key Qualifications:

Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist license (or ability to obtain within a few weeks)
ARRT (R) certification required
Proven experience performing diagnostic X-rays in hospital or clinical environments
Comfortable assisting with intraoperative imaging and supporting surgical teams in the OR
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Thorough understanding of ALARA principles and radiation safety
Proficient with electronic health records and medical imaging systems

Anticipated Schedule:

Likely five 8-hour day shifts per week; flexibility for alternative schedules is appreciated

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct a variety of diagnostic X-ray examinations with precision and professionalism
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and surgical staff to ensure optimal imaging in the OR
Maintain thorough patient records and support image management workflows
Adhere strictly to state regulations, facility policies, and quality/safety standards
Provide patient-centered care, including clear explanation of procedures and support throughout imaging
Help calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
