Overview
This AV rated firm has been in the insurance defense field for over 30 years. We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Insurance Defense Associate Attorney with a minimum of two years of experience to join our dedicated legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in defending insurance companies and policyholders in litigation matters. This position offers an opportunity to work on a diverse array of cases. Insurance Defense Attorney Responsibilities

Manage all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case investigation, discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.
Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, settlement agreements, and other legal documents with precision and clarity.
Negotiate settlements effectively while maintaining client interests and adhering to ethical standards.
Collaborate with clients, experts, witnesses, and co-counsel to develop strong case strategies across various practice areas such as personal injury law, landlord-tenant law.
Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements.
Stay current on evolving laws and regulations relevant to insurance defense practice through ongoing research and professional development.

Insurance Defense Attorney Requirements

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and a member of the California State Bar in good standing.
Minimum of two years’ experience practicing insurance defense or related litigation fields.
Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis platforms.
Strong legal drafting skills with attention to detail in writing pleadings and memoranda.
Excellent negotiation skills with a proactive approach to resolving disputes efficiently.
Legal administrative experience managing case files and court procedures effectively.
