Job Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Rheumatologist specializing in Clinical Research, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing treatment options for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients presenting with rheumatic diseases, including joint, muscle, and connective tissue disorders.
Manage patient care plans by integrating clinical findings with research protocols to ensure optimal treatment strategies.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals across specialties such as immunology, dermatology, cardiology, and radiology to facilitate holistic patient management.
Participate actively in clinical research projects by recruiting participants, collecting data, and analyzing outcomes aligned with study objectives.
Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical imaging tools to document findings accurately and maintain detailed medical records.
Stay current on advancements in rheumatology and related fields such as immunology, endocrinology, and pain medicine to inform evidence-based practices.
Educate patients about disease management options, including novel therapies like botulinum toxin treatments or biologic agents, ensuring they are well-informed partners in their care.

Requirements

Medical degree from an accredited institution with completion of residency training in Rheumatology or related subspecialties such as Immunology or Internal Medicine.
Post-residency experience in clinical research within rheumatology or autoimmune diseases is highly preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or similar platforms for documentation and data management.
Knowledge of diagnostic radiology, medical imaging techniques, and laboratory testing relevant to rheumatic conditions.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with healthcare professionals across diverse specialties including dermatology, cardiology, neurology, and orthopedics.
Familiarity with clinical trial protocols, CPT coding, HIPAA regulations, and research ethics standards.
Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary team coordination.
Ability to manage inpatient and outpatient settings while maintaining high-quality patient service standards.
Experience with pain management techniques, immunizations, wound care, and acute care procedures related to rheumatologic conditions is advantageous.
