About EMBODY Movement Studio
EMBODY Movement Studio is a modern movement and wellness studio in Carolina Beach, NC, created around movement, strength, connection, and community.
Our classes are designed to help people feel stronger, more confident, energized, and connected to their bodies. Through yoga, Pilates-inspired movement, sculpt, strength, and other wellness experiences, we are creating a studio environment where people genuinely want to show up, move, and feel good.
We are looking for a passionate, energetic, and certified Yoga Instructor to join our growing instructor team.
The Role
As a Yoga Instructor at EMBODY, you will lead engaging yoga classes that combine movement, mobility, strength, breathwork, mindfulness, and connection.
We are looking for an instructor who can confidently lead a room, provide thoughtful instruction, create a welcoming environment, and make participants feel supported regardless of their experience level.
You should bring positive energy, strong communication, professionalism, and a genuine passion for helping people feel better in their bodies.
What You'll Do
Yoga Instruction
- Lead engaging group yoga classes for a variety of experience levels.
- Create thoughtfully structured classes with intentional sequencing.
- Provide clear instruction, demonstrations, and appropriate modifications.
- Offer options for different fitness levels, abilities, and movement needs.
- Emphasize safe movement, proper alignment, body awareness, and technique.
- Incorporate breathwork, mindfulness, mobility, and intentional movement into classes.
- Create an environment that feels challenging, encouraging, welcoming, and accessible.
- Monitor participants throughout class and provide appropriate safety cues.
- Adapt instruction based on the needs and experience level of the class.

Client Education & Wellness
- Educate clients on the benefits of yoga, movement, breathwork, mobility, and mindfulness.
- Provide appropriate guidance around body awareness, alignment, and movement patterns.
- Encourage participants to listen to their bodies and modify movements when appropriate.
- Promote a positive and sustainable approach to movement and wellness.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and refer clients to qualified healthcare professionals when concerns fall outside the scope of yoga instruction.
Studio Responsibilities
- Arrive on time and fully prepared for every scheduled class.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming studio environment.
- Assist with basic studio setup and breakdown as needed.
- Communicate professionally with the EMBODY team.
- Follow all EMBODY class standards, policies, and safety procedures.
- Provide feedback and ideas that can help improve the client experience.
- Participate in occasional studio events, workshops, or community experiences when available.
Required Qualifications
- RYT 200 Yoga Certification is required.
- Current CPR/AED certification is required or must be obtained prior to teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to safely and confidently lead a group yoga class.
- Strong understanding of yoga fundamentals, anatomy, alignment, and safe movement.
- Ability to clearly demonstrate movements and provide effective verbal instruction.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, reliable, and punctual.
- Comfortable working with individuals with varying experience levels and abilities.
- Passion for yoga, movement, wellness, and creating meaningful experiences for clients.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching group yoga classes.
- Additional certifications in Pilates, sculpt, barre, strength, mobility, or other movement disciplines.
- Background in anatomy, kinesiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, dance, athletics, or a related field.
- Experience teaching in a boutique fitness or wellness studio.
- Experience creating community and connection within a class environment.

Compensation
This is a paid instructor position.
Compensation will be based on class format, experience, qualifications, and teaching schedule.
