Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and administrative support within a medical office environment. This role requires proficiency in various medical systems and terminology, as well as strong communication skills to effectively manage patient interactions and office operations.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner at the front desk.
Manage incoming calls using multi-line phone systems, ensuring effective phone etiquette.
Schedule patient appointments, manage calendars, and coordinate care plans.
Verify insurance information and perform insurance verification for patients.
Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review and filing of patient information.
Process medical collections and assist with billing inquiries related to CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10).
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in handling sensitive patient information.
Assist with clerical tasks including typing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
Provide support for medical administrative tasks as needed to enhance office management efficiency.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role within a medical or dental office is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology, health information management, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems is essential.
Knowledge of medical billing processes, including Medicare guidelines and insurance claims processing.
Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply to enhance patient communication.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle patient inquiries professionally.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing documentation and scheduling tasks.

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
