Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Brown & Sharpe Machinist to join our top-tier manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional proficiency in set-up, operate, and optimize Brown & Sharpe Machines and other manual CAM Machines. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing our manufacturing capabilities, ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set-up, operate, and optimize Brown & Sharpe Machines and other manual CAM Machines
Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce precision tools and dies
Perform preventive maintenance on tools, dies, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
Interpret drawings, GD&T and work orders.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime
Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and quality control teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
Perform in-process and final inspection using measuring instruments.
Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance, repairs, and modifications
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process

Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in tool and die making preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Brown & Sharpe machinist or related manufacturing industries
Extensive knowledge of materials, metallurgy, and heat treatment processes used in manufacturing
Proficient in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Strong understanding of precision measurement techniques and tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, etc
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends as needed
