QC Inspector — Job Posting

Overview

We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our CNC Machining/Fabrication team. This role is responsible for ensuring parts, processes, and documentation meet AS9100, customer, and internal quality requirements. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, confident with precision measurement tools, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, audit‑ready environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections using calibrated measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread gages, pin gages, etc.).
Verify parts against engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Complete and maintain inspection records, NCRs, and AS9102 First Article Inspection documentation.
Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and manufacturing travelers.
Identify nonconformances and work with Quality and Production teams to contain, document, and resolve issues.
Verify certifications, material traceability, and special process documentation (heat treat, passivation, NDT, coatings).
Ensure compliance with AS9100, internal procedures, and customer-specific requirements.

Required Qualifications

2+ years of experience in CNC Machining or Fabrication environment
Strong understanding of blueprint interpretation.
Proficiency with standard inspection tools and gages.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CMM, optical comparators, or advanced metrology equipment.
Familiarity with special processes (NDT, passivation, coatings, heat treat).
Knowledge of AS9100 and audit requirements.
Background in machining, fabrication, manufacturing, or process control.
Building inspection plans.
Working comfort in SolidWorks.

Work Environment & Schedule

Full‑time position in an AS9100‑certified aerospace machine shop.
Hands‑on inspection work with frequent interaction with machinists, programmers, and Quality leadership.
Occasional overtime based on production needs.
Monday - Friday: 7:00AM-4:00PM
