JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Quality Coordinator
REPORT TO: General Manager
DEPARTMENT: Quality
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, this position provides both administrative and quality support for the Laboratory Manager, testing activities within the laboratory, and for the Quality department. In addition to typing, filing, and scheduling, performs duties such as drafting SOP's and CoA's, inventory record keeping, maintaining appropriates certificates and safety data sheets, obtaining supplies, and working on special projects.
Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information.
Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Support to QC/QA - Creating and assisting with Laboratory testing records and documentation, as well as reviewing/drafting SOPs and workflows for applicable regulatory compliance.
Maintain appropriate filing for Certificates of Analysis and Safety Data Sheets
Purchase and maintain Laboratory testing material according to Laboratory testing schedule

Administrative

Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system for responsible areas.
Handle requests for information and data pertaining to responsible areas.
Resolve administrative problems and inquiries.
Prepare and modify documents including CoA's, correspondence, reports, drafts, memorandum, and emails pertaining to responsible areas.
Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence.
Maintain office supply inventories.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Some responsibilities may require the employee to operate in a warehouse/laboratory environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is largely a desk-based role; however, some filing and other physical ability is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend, stoop, or stand as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· Knowledge and understanding of Quality Assurance, experience with FDA and GLP is preferred

· Proficient in MS Office (particularly Word, Excel and Outlook)

· Proficient in web browsing

· Ability to effectively collaborate and work in groups

· Strong Communicational Skills

· Great attention to detail

· Self-Starter

· Flexible

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Pursuing a degree in a related field or equivalent preferred

· 1-2 years of experience in related

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
