Cartersville-based Denim Marketing is seeking a Social Media Manager to support its team of marketing, social media and public relations professionals. Denim partners with clients to create strategic social media campaigns through content creation, community management, paid advertising and digital marketing. This position plays an integral role on the account team, managing multiple client accounts while creating content, building social media strategies and helping clients grow their online presence. We're looking for a highly organized, creative and client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment. Clientele industries include, but are not limited to home building, development, remodeling, investing, lending and more.
Job Description
The Social Media Manager will take the lead on multiple client accounts, creating platform-specific content and managing social media channels with strategy and creativity. From ideation to execution, the SMM develops content calendars, writes copy, creates graphics, produces short-form video, manages social media advertising and analyzes performance to continuously improve results. The ideal candidate is highly organized, an effective communicator and comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. We are growing and need someone who can hit the ground running!
Proficiency in Canva, CapCut (or other similar video editing software) and Meta Ads Manager is required. Experience with WordPress, blogging and SEO best practices is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with clients to develop social media strategies that align with marketing, public relations and advertising initiatives, including content creation, publishing, community engagement and reporting.
- Serve as the visual and creative voice of Denim Marketing across the agency's social media channels by creating content that highlights client success, company culture, agency initiatives and industry expertise.
- Create timely, engaging, platform-specific content aligned with brand guidelines and audience preferences, including copywriting, graphic design and multimedia assets, such as photography and short-form video, while following platform best practices.
- Manage community engagement across client social media channels by responding to comments, messages and customer inquiries in each client's brand voice.
- Plan, capture, edit and publish short-form video content, including Reels, YouTube Shorts and other platform-native formats.
- Create engaging and professional visuals that reflect client and their brand.
- Plan, launch and monitor paid social media campaigns, providing performance insights and recommendations.
- Track analytics and prepare monthly reports and provide recommendations to improve content performance and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with clients and internal account teams to ensure consistent brand execution across all marketing initiatives.
- Research competitors, influencers, platform updates and industry trends to identify new content opportunities and best practices.
- Stay current with social media trends and tools by attending networking and educational events, reading industry publications and participating in ongoing professional development.
- Continue to refine and improve Denim Marketing's social media processes and best practices.
- Attend agency-sponsored and client events as needed to create content and represent Denim Marketing outside of standard business hours. (Usually no more than 1-2 on average.)
- Contribute positively to the agency's collaborative culture through professionalism, initiative and a team-first attitude.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- College degree and 2+ years of relevant social media experience.
- Strong copywriting, editing and storytelling skills for digital and social content.
- Proven experience managing multiple social accounts simultaneously.
- Skilled in writing, editing and repurposing content for various platforms.
- Ability to ideate, shoot and edit short-form video content.
- Experience managing paid social media campaigns through Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager.
- Proficiency with Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut (or equivalent video editing software) and Planable (or another social media management platform). Comfortable analyzing metrics and translating data into actionable insights.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience creating blog content and basic WordPress publishing is preferred.
- A collaborative, creative mindset with a problem-solving attitude.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web-based applications and creative software. Knowledge of the residential real estate or homebuilding industry a plus.
- Knowledge of public relations, blogging and social media SEO best practices preferred.
- Experience managing Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Pinterest and emerging social media platforms.
- Ability to develop blog content for the Denim Marketing website that reflects industry trends, agency expertise and relevant digital marketing topics.
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact or similar email marketing software is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. College degree in related field (Digital Marketing, Social Media, Marketing, Communications, etc.). Strong understanding of social media marketing, content strategy and brand management. Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and changing priorities.
