About the Position
Max Recovery is seeking an experienced North Carolina Personal Injury Case Manager to join our team in a fully remote position. We are looking for a knowledgeable, organized, and highly motivated professional who understands the North Carolina personal injury process and can independently manage cases from initial intake through final settlement.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced case manager who is confident working independently, communicating with clients and insurance carriers, coordinating medical treatment, and moving cases efficiently toward resolution.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of personal injury case management experience in North Carolina
- Strong knowledge of the North Carolina personal injury claims process
- Ability to independently manage a personal injury case from initial intake through final settlement
- Experience communicating professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, and attorneys
- Strong understanding of medical records, bills, treatment, liens, and settlement documentation
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage a large caseload while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Proficiency with case management software and standard office technology
- Litigation experience is a significant plus
Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury cases from initial intake through settlement
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding their claims, treatment, and case status
- Coordinate and monitor clients' medical treatment
- Communicate with medical providers and obtain medical records and billing
- Communicate with insurance carriers and claims adjusters
- Review medical records and bills to evaluate case development
- Track important case deadlines and ensure files remain current
- Assist with demand preparation and settlement negotiations
- Identify and resolve outstanding liens and subrogation claims
- Prepare settlement documentation and coordinate final disbursement
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files
- Work closely with attorneys and other members of the team when necessary
- Handle assigned cases independently and proactively identify issues that could affect settlement or case resolution
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who knows North Carolina personal injury law and the day-to-day realities of managing a PI caseload. We are looking for someone who does not need to be micromanaged and can take ownership of a case from the moment it comes through the door until the client receives their settlement.
You should be comfortable making decisions, communicating directly with clients and providers, following up on outstanding issues, and keeping cases moving without constant supervision.
Litigation experience is a huge plus!
