We’re a fast-growing, multi-state environmental services and recycling company seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to personally execute most accounting functions of our business and also manage a Lead Accountant, an AR Specialist, and a Collections Specialist.

What You’ll Do

Monthly Close: Deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow—on time, every time.
Financial Controls: Track AR/AP/inventory, safeguard working capital, coach the team to achieve extremely high accuracy on a high volume of invoices. Hold our collections specialist accountable to collection goals.
Cost Discipline: Audit expenses, negotiate vendor costs, and protect profit margins.
Team Leadership: Manage a growing accounting team (Lead Accountant, AR, AP, and remote staff).
Compliance: Run payroll, pay sales/fuel tax, and track multi-state filings — with zero errors.
Banking & Payments: Execute payments with precision and manage account reconciliations.
Fleet Cost Analysis: Track truck expenses by asset number, calculate cost per mile, and guide quarterly divestment decisions.
Profitability Reporting: Analyze per-customer profitability and support data-driven pricing updates.

What You Bring

6–10 years of accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years in a Senior Level Controller role.
Formal Accounting Education
CPA License is Preferred but not required
Experience with high volume invoicing with a variety of modifiers and exceptions
Strong systems knowledge: QuickBooks Online/Desktop, Excel modeling, payroll, ERP integrations.
Trusted experience as a bank account signer and systems administrator.
Experience working for a small or mid-size business.
