Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will help create a seamless dining experience. In this vital role, you will ensure the cleanliness and safety of all kitchenware and food preparation areas, support meal assembly, and assist in maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Your enthusiasm for food service and culinary excellence will contribute to a vibrant, efficient kitchen environment that delights our guests and supports our culinary staff.

Duties

Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards.
Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals according to recipes and safety guidelines.
Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients for cooking, including knife skills like slicing techniques to ensure precision and safety.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment by following proper cleaning protocols for kitchen surfaces, floors, and storage areas.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other small appliances.
Follow food handling procedures diligently to ensure compliance with food safety standards in all aspects of meal prep and service.
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation, timing, and quality control while adhering to menu plans.

Qualifications

Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating knowledge of food handling and safety standards.
Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation techniques.
Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for ingredient prep.
Knowledge of operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Understanding of food safety management practices essential for maintaining hygiene standards in a fast-paced setting.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and support team members.
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a positive attitude in a busy environment.
