Kid-1 Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Office Coordinator/Receptionist to join our growing pediatric dental team! This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves working with kids and families, and who is also cross-trained as a Dental Assistant to support clinical operations when needed. Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are strongly encouraged to apply!

At Kid-1 Pediatric Dentistry, we are dedicated to providing a warm, fun, and stress-free dental experience for children of all ages. We are a pediatric dental office that has been serving smiles in Casa Grande, AZ for over 25 years! We're looking for a team player who can wear multiple hats — greeting patients up front and assisting chair-side when needed.

Position Summary:
The Front Office Coordinator/Dental Assistant will manage the day-to-day front desk operations under leadership of the operations manager while also providing clinical support as a cross-trained dental assistant. This dual role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced pediatric setting, and wants to grow their skill set.

Responsibilities:

Front Office Duties:

Greet and check in/check out patients and families with warmth and professionalism
Answer multi-line phones, schedule and confirm appointments
Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
Collect co-pays and process patient payments
Manage patient records and update information in practice management software (Carestack)
Handle treatment plan presentations and financial arrangements
Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly reception area
Manage recall/recare lists and patient reminders

Cross-Trained Dental Assistant Duties (as needed):

Assist chairside during pediatric dental procedures
Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories following infection control protocols
Take dental X-rays (digital radiography)
Perform coronal polishing (per state regulations)
Provide patient and parent education on oral hygiene
Assist with pulpotomies, extractions, sealants, fluoride treatments, and other pediatric procedures

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Background check required
Previous front desk/dental receptionist experience in a dental or pediatric dental office preferred
Dental Assistant experience or certification required (or willingness to be cross-trained)
X-ray/Radiology Certification preferred
Coronal Polishing Certification preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
CPR/BLS certification required
Familiarity with dental insurance verification and billing
Experience with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Denticon, etc.)
Excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills
Comfortable working with children and creating a positive, calming environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Reliable, punctual, and a team player
