Job Title: Shift Lead

Pay Range: $14-$18 per hour (tips included)

Position Overview

As a Shift Lead at Qdoba Casper Stores, you’ll play a key leadership role in running smooth, high-energy restaurant operations alongside the General Manager. You’ll uphold our brand standards and core values of Hospitality, Positivity, and Performance, helping create a vibrant workplace where team members thrive and guests enjoy exceptional food and service every time. We’re a fun, disciplined team that values respect, accountability, and a genuine can-do spirit. If you bring energy, leadership, and a commitment to excellence, you’ll fit right in with our optimistic, guest-focused culture. You will get FREE meals daily which is equivalent to $2 more per hour.

This position requires full compliance with all company policies, procedures, food safety standards, and federal/state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and service to protect and strengthen the Qdoba brand reputation.
Lead with respect and positivity—building strong relationships and fostering a supportive, upbeat team environment where everyone feels valued.
Execute daily operations with precision and excellence while following established systems and procedures.
Motivate and coach the team to deliver outstanding guest service and consistently high-quality food, ensuring every shift runs efficiently and safely.
Collaborate with teammates on initiatives that drive sales growth and long-term restaurant success.
Continuously review and improve processes to enhance the overall guest experience.
Support the General Manager in identifying, developing, and training high-potential team members for future Shift Lead opportunities.
Actively participate in training and development efforts to help the entire team meet and exceed operational standards.
Engage warmly with guests and the local community—addressing questions, concerns, or feedback promptly and professionally to ensure every guest leaves happy. Escalate complex issues to the General Manager as needed.
Partner with the General Manager to monitor operational and financial performance, spot trends, and recommend smart improvements.
Help control expenses and stay aligned with budget goals while maintaining quality and service levels.
Strictly adhere to all labor laws and company safety protocols.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age (per legal requirement).
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of six months of restaurant operations experience.

Skills and Competencies

Successful completion of Qdoba Shift Lead training program.
Strong English communication skills (Spanish proficiency is a plus).
Basic proficiency in reading, writing, math, and computer/POS systems.
Reliable transportation required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods (full shift) and operating equipment at standard heights.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including those longer than eight hours, as well as weekends and holidays based on business needs.

Additional Requirements for Catering Delivery

Must have a functional personal cell phone.
Use of the cell phone (via approved app or text) is required to track catering order departures and completions—always in accordance with company safety procedures. Device use is strictly prohibited while driving.
