Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Pay: $16–$20 per hour
Housing assistance: Up to $1,000 per month
Locations: Basin, Buffalo, and Thermopolis, Wyoming (Open to candidates over 100 miles from the facility - Sheridan, Casper, Cheyenne, Billings, etc)
Job type: Full-time, 6-month contract

Retirement Center/ long-term care facility supporting a geriatric and behavioral-health population.

Residents may have dementia, schizophrenia, mental-health diagnoses, or behavioral challenges. Candidates should be compassionate, patient, and comfortable assisting residents with complex care needs.

Typical schedules may include:

5:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
5:30 p.m.–6:00 a.m.

Behavioral-health, dementia, memory-care, or geriatric experience is preferred but not required for every candidate.

Buffalo, Wyoming

Veterans’ Home - provides skilled nursing, assisted living, and cottage-style care for Wyoming veterans.

CNA responsibilities may include:

Assisting residents with activities of daily living
Bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance
Taking and documenting vital signs
Supporting meals and hydration
Light housekeeping in cottage-style settings
Helping maintain a safe and comfortable environment
Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff

Candidates should be comfortable providing both direct resident care and household-style support.

Thermopolis, Wyoming

Assisted-living facility - serving generally independent residents who may need medication support, supervision, and assistance with daily activities.

Available shifts may include:

6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.
11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.

This opportunity may be a strong fit for new graduate CNAs looking to gain experience in a supportive assisted-living environment. Facility duties, populations, and schedules are based on the State of Wyoming recruiting information.

CNA Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living
Provide bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance
Help residents transfer and reposition safely
Take and document vital signs
Assist with meals, hydration, and nutrition
Observe residents and report changes to licensed nursing staff
Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and comfort
Follow infection-control and resident-safety procedures
Document care accurately and promptly
Support residents with dementia, behavioral needs, or mobility limitations
Work collaboratively with RNs, LPNs, CMAs, CNAs, and facility staff
Perform additional resident-care duties within the CNA scope of practice

Minimum Qualifications

Active CNA certification in any U.S. state, or recent completion of an approved CNA training program
Eligible to obtain Wyoming CNA certification
New graduate CNAs are encouraged to apply
Ability to provide compassionate and dependable resident care
Ability to work day, evening, or overnight shifts based on facility needs
Ability to commit to a full-time contract assignment
Willingness to complete a background check and drug screening
Ability to meet facility onboarding and health requirements

Wyoming CNA Reciprocity Assistance

Out-of-state CNAs are encouraged to apply.
