Full Job Description

Consolidated Divisions, inc (CDI), Colorado’s largest environmental contractor and industry leader, is seeking individuals to work in our commercial landscape/irrigation division.

CDI is located just south of Highlands Ranch off of Santa Fe (Hwy 85). Great benefits – 401k matching, health insurance and more.

We have immediate openings for experienced/qualified Project Superintendent

The primary purpose for the superintendent position is to coordinate all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and within budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, while administering good construction safety practices and enforcing company policies and procedures.

HOURS: Monday through Friday 6:30 am to 4:00 pm – mandatory over time

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for but are not limited to:
planning (both pre-project and ongoing during the project)
monitoring work performance of crews to ensure production and project goals
assuring company policies and procedures and safety requirements are met
Perform quality control checks; crew training
Maintain a high level of work quality.
Project Management:quality management supervision, supply management, scheduling, planning,managing labor/equipment budgets, delegation
Complete written documents following prescribed formats and/or present information to others
Provide supervisory assistance for craft employees assigned to a particular discipline work area.
Assist in planning work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, equipment requirements, etc.
Monitor work performance and productivity of crafts to ensure project rules, procedures,safety requirements, etc. are maintained.
Ensure that time cards are complete and accurately reflect hours worked.
Advise senior level superintendent and/or project manager of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc.; assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
Report unusual or difficult problems to supervisor.
Maintain uninterrupted communication between field and the office in support of ongoing projects.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

5 years supervisory experience preferred.
Proficient in reading and implementing construction site plans and specifications
Proficient Computer Skills
Basic Math, including calculations using fractions, percentages and/or ratios; area calculations and the ability to read scale
Working knowledge of equipment operation: skid steer, grade tractor, trencher, mini-ex, front end loader
Working knowledge of jobsite safety standards and enforcement
Able to report for scheduled work shift on time
Current/Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Knowledge of how to trailer and mobilize machinery by pulling a tongue-pull or gooseneck trailer.
Diesel equipment maintenance/repair.
Ability to communicate proficiently in verbal and written English, Spanish is a plus
Ability to work irregular hours, overnight, weekend and holiday shifts
Able to follow directions and take instruction.
Good communication skills and an ability to work well with others.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Job may require working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain or snow.
Must wear personal protective equipment at all times (i.e. hard hats, safety glasses, safety harness or respirators as required etc.).
Must be able to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers.
Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day, night shift, 40 hours per week and overtime as required with little or short notice.
The ability to work out of town if necessary.
Must be able to work with limited supervision, handling multiple tasks and meeting critical deadlines.
Must maintain a safe work site by ensuring compliance with company safety and PPE policies.
Must always maintain professional manner with all employees, co-workers and customers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to bend, stoop, squat,crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
Ability to lift 51 lbs.
Ability to climb ladders of all types.
Possess good hearing/ vision.
Ability to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
Ability to use both hands simultaneously in the use of power equipment.
