Full Job Description

Part-Time Accounting Assistant (Entry Level)

Pay: $15.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Part-Time, 10–15 hours per week

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our growing accounting office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in pursuing a career in accounting and would be an ideal position for an accounting student.

Preference will be given to applicants with an accounting and/or construction background, although we are willing to train the right candidate who is eager to learn.

What You'll Learn

By the end of the training period, you will have a solid understanding of:

Basic accounting principles
Chart of accounts
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Reading and understanding standard financial reports
Microsoft Office
Dropbox
QuickBooks Online through hands-on, comprehensive training

Job Duties

QuickBooks Online data entry
Bank and credit card reconciliations (from simple to more complex)
Filing and document organization
General office and administrative support
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent attention to detail
Strong organizational skills and follow-through
Dependable and self-motivated
Ability to work independently
Willingness to learn and grow in an accounting environment

Schedule

This is a part-time position working 10–15 hours per week. We are happy to work around school and childcare schedules and will establish a consistent weekly schedule between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
