The Role
We’re looking for a (Seasoned Journeyman Electrician) who has spent 10+ years in the field and is ready to transition those hard-earned skills into full-time estimating. You’ll be the key player preparing accurate bids for exciting ground-up work while leveraging the renovation expertise we already bring to the table.
Key Responsibilities

Review architectural, structural, and electrical plans/specs for multi-family, commercial, and hotel projects
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs, labor estimates, and material pricing
- Build and maintain professional bid spreadsheets with advanced formulas, pivot tables, and cost-tracking systems
- Utilize estimating software to generate professional proposals
- Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and coordinate with architects, GCs, and suppliers. This will include infrequent travel.

Collaborate with our project managers and field teams to ensure bids are realistic and profitable
Stay current on NEC, Utah electrical codes, and local jurisdiction requirements

What We’re Looking For (Our Ideal Candidate)

**Journeyman Electrician license** (or equivalent 10+ years of documented field experience)
- 10+ years hands-on electrical construction experience (hotel, multi-family, or commercial preferred)
- Proven experience with electrical estimating software (Accubid, ConEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
- **Great spreadsheet skills** — we’re talking advanced Excel mastery (complex formulas, macros, data validation, pivot tables, dashboards — you live in spreadsheets)
- Strong desire to move from tools and job sites into a professional office environment \

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight bid deadlines
- Excellent communication skills — you can talk to general contractors and field crews with equal confidence
Valid driver’s license, including a "real id" for travel and reliable transportation
