About ThunderTix
ThunderTix is a web-based ticketing platform built for performing arts organizations, schools, venues, and live events. Box offices use ThunderTix to sell reserved seating and general admission tickets, manage patrons and donors, run subscriptions and fundraising campaigns, scan tickets, sell merchandise and concessions, and more.
We are a small-but-mighty team that cares deeply about the clients we serve. Because we work closely across departments, every team member has a meaningful impact on both the customer experience and the continued improvement of our platform.
We are looking for a Business Development Representative / Junior Sales Associate who is organized, resourceful, a strong communicator, and eager to build a career in sales. This role supports our sales effort behind the scenes — handling collateral creation, conference logistics, prospecting research, and administrative follow-through — while being managed and mentored directly by our Sales Director to grow into a more senior sales role over time.

- Track outstanding tasks, proposals, and next steps to keep deals moving forward.
- Working with Hubspot's AI Prospecting Agent to send personalized outbound messaging.
- Making outbound cold-calls to prospects.
Conference and Event Support
- Plan and coordinate logistics for industry conferences, trade shows, and events, including registration, shipping, booth materials, and travel details.
- Design or update booth graphics, signage, swag, and printed materials in coordination with marketing.
- Prepare presentation materials, demo scripts, and leave-behind materials for use at events.
- Staff conferences and events as needed, representing ThunderTix and engaging with attendees.
- Follow up on leads gathered at conferences and events in a timely, organized manner.
Design and Content Creation
- Create or update sales and marketing graphics, slide decks, one-pagers, and email templates.
- Support the design of sales enablement materials that help communicate ThunderTix's value clearly and professionally.
- Keep sales-facing templates, decks, and documents current as features and messaging evolve.
Sales Development and Mentorship
- Work closely with a senior sales team member who will mentor and train you on core sales skills, terminology, and best practices.
- Learn to qualify leads, understand buyer needs, and speak knowledgeably about ThunderTix's features and value proposition.
- Shadow sales calls and demos to build familiarity with the sales process and client objections.
- Gradually take on more direct prospect communication as sales fluency develops.
- Ask thoughtful questions and seek feedback to accelerate learning and improve performance over time.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with marketing on collateral, messaging, and event materials.
- Communicate with customer success and product teams to stay current on features, updates, and client feedback relevant to sales conversations.
- Maintain strong follow-through so tasks, proposals, and event logistics continue moving toward completion.
