Trees Forever is a nonprofit charitable organization headquartered in Marion, Iowa, with an additional office in Des Moines and remote field staff working across Iowa and Illinois. Our mission is to plant and care for trees and the environment by empowering people, building community, and promoting stewardship.
Trees Forever is seeking a full-time (30 hours per week) Senior Salesforce Administrator to lead the administration, optimization, and strategic development of our Salesforce platform as we transition to the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP). This role is responsible for Salesforce configuration, automation, integrations, data governance, reporting, and user support, while also overseeing key organizational technology systems and software applications.
The ideal candidate has strong Salesforce administration expertise and experience managing data integrations, technology systems, and end-user support. Working closely with leadership and staff across departments, this individual will streamline business processes, improve data quality, enhance reporting capabilities, and implement technology solutions that support Trees Forever's mission and organizational goals.
Schedule: Full-time, 30 hours per week, with occasional weekend work as needed.
Location: Remote, Iowa – This position is remote, with occasional travel and/or on-site meetings based on business needs.
Responsibilities
Salesforce Administration
- Serve as the primary administrator for Trees Forever's Salesforce environment, including implementation, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP).
- Build, maintain, and optimize Salesforce Flows, approval processes, and other automated solutions to streamline business processes and improve organizational efficiency.
- Manage user and license administration, including onboarding, offboarding, role assignments, profiles, permission sets, training, and sharing rules.
- Create and maintain custom objects, fields, page layouts, record types, validation rules, and approval processes.
- Administer sandbox environments to support development, testing, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate with staff and leadership to identify business requirements and develop scalable Salesforce solutions.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics to support fundraising, program operations, and organizational decision-making.
- Monitor platform health, perform system maintenance, manage Salesforce releases, and implement best practices.
- Evaluate existing processes and recommend automation and system improvements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and user training materials.
Data Management & Integrations
- Lead data governance, data mapping, and data migration efforts to ensure the quality and integrity of organizational data.
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications, ensuring reliable data synchronization and business processes.
Technology Systems Administration
- Coordinate with managed IT service providers and technology vendors.
- Administer and support integrated applications and operational systems, including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Barracuda, GoToWebinar, Gravity Forms, Stripe, PayPal, Zapier, and related platforms.
- Assist with employee technology onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Provides in-house training and technical assistance to employees.
- Manage user access and licensing across organizational systems.
- Support cybersecurity best practices and technology policies.
- Maintain Trees Forever's website domains and provide backup support for website updates.
Leadership
- Lead staff by setting clear priorities, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration to ensure high performance and effective execution of responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and oversee internal systems and processes to support effective program delivery.
- Manage budgets, personnel, and resources to support organizational goals and operational excellence.
- Collaborates as part of the executive leadership team to guide strategic planning and drive organizational priorities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Salesforce Administrator Certification.
- Three or more years of Salesforce administration experience.
- Experience administering Salesforce Non-Profit Success Pack (NPSP).
- Demonstrated experience building Salesforce Flows.
- Experience creating and maintaining Salesforce custom objects.
- Experience with data mapping, migrations, and system integrations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions involving program direction and implementation.
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education, Salesforce certifications, and professional experience.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization.
- Experience supporting fundraising, donor management, volunteer engagement, or program operations.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365 and related productivity tools.
Pay: $55,319.00 - $71,642.00 per year
