Full Job Description

About the role

Holistic Wellness & Psychiatry is an integrative psychiatry and wellness practice in Cedar Rapids, with a second location in St. Thomas, USVI. Alongside psychiatric care, we provide Spravato (esketamine) and ketamine therapy, and we're growing a functional medicine and metabolic health program — root-cause evaluations, GLP-1 weight management, hormone and metabolic optimization, and lifestyle medicine.

We're hiring an in-person Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant to grow with this program. The role has three parts:

Functional medicine & GLP-1 care — extended consultations, protocol design, lab interpretation, and ongoing weight-management oversight. Long visits, unhurried medicine.
Medical visits within your FNP/PA scope for practice patients.
Treatment-suite coverage — after completing our structured training, serve as the on-site provider during Spravato/ketamine treatment sessions on your office days, working alongside our RN team.

This is not a fully remote role and not a psychiatric prescribing role. It's in-person, medical, metabolic, and hands-on — ideal for a clinician who wants to practice functional and lifestyle medicine the way it should be practiced, in a role they help shape.

Compensation: productivity-based with ramp support while your panel builds — estimated $90K–$140K annually at a mature caseload; part-time pro-rates. We'll walk you through the actual numbers at interview. Malpractice covered; credentialing handled by our team.

What we need from you

Active Iowa FNP (APRN) or PA license, or application submitted; personal DEA (or Iowa-transferable). PA applicants: physician collaboration provided by our Medical Director.
3+ years post-certification NP or PA practice
Genuine interest in functional medicine, metabolic health, GLP-1/weight management, hormones, or lifestyle medicine — experience welcome, strong interest trainable
Consistent in-person presence in Cedar Rapids, 2–3 days/week, year-round
Current BLS/ACLS or willing to recertify (we pay)

Pay: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year

Compensation is productivity-based (percentage of collections plus coverage day-rates), with a ramp floor for your first 60–90 days — not a guaranteed long-term salary. Are you seeking a minimum 12-month commitment under that structure?
