Full Job Description

JOB GOAL:

To advance the college’s mission, vision, values and strategic initiatives through continuous quality improvement and assessment.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

This position reports directly to the Vice President of Human Resources & Institutional Effectiveness. This position’s primary purpose is to lead, facilitate, and coordinate institutional planning initiatives. Primary planning initiatives under supervision of this position include Strategic Planning, Process Improvement, and Accreditation, specifically the administration of the assurance argument system, and accreditation visits. This position also assists with the additional institutional priorities of HLC criteria documentation and business continuity planning.

The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm with the opportunity to work one day a week remotely.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead, facilitate, and coordinate Kirkwood’s Strategic Planning Process, Process Improvement, Assurance Argument administration, and accreditation visits.
Serve as the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) for the college.
Communicate and inform College staff and faculty about institutional effectiveness initiatives, plans and processes.
Train, as needed, faculty and staff on continuous improvement processes and methodologies.
Develop Key Performance Indicators and measure accordingly in order to make data-driven decisions.
Prepare quantitative reports and documents for the purpose of reviewing short/long-range goals, objectives, and the evaluation of Institutional Planning initiatives.
Supervise Institutional Planning staff.
Hold initiative meetings across the College when necessary.
Attend required conferences and meetings, and maintain professional and technical knowledge through professional development activities.
Perform other related work duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree.
At least three years of experience working in higher education in Institutional Effectiveness or a related area.
Experience collecting, reviewing, and using data to support planning and decision-making.
Valid driver's license.
- This position requires a valid driver's license and participation in continuous Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring. Your driving record will be verified initially and monitored on an ongoing basis as a condition of employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:

Master's degree.
Experience with strategic planning, accreditation, process improvement, and data analysis.
Experience managing projects and working with different departments across the college.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Experience using data and reports to identify trends and make recommendations.
Prior Supervising experience.
