Job Overview
As part of the sales organization at Scale-Tec, the inside sales specialist reports to and is managed by the Scale-Tec Sales Manager, and supports the outside sales roles to include independent sales representatives and territory managers. The inside sales specialist contributes to a critical role within the company, allowing for both inbound and outbound sales opportunities to contribute to the overall support of revenue generation of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Displays a devotion to continuous learning opportunities, skill acquisition to facilitate overall professional growth, with an affinity for all aspects of sales training.
- Proactively manage and expand a robust sales pipeline by identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities through dormant accounts, online research, existing clientele, referrals, and other independent lead generation efforts to increase company revenue.
- Perform regular outbound communications via telephone and email to prospective leads and current customers to facilitate sales progression and meet corporate income objectives.
- Provide timely responses to incoming sales requests via phone or web and successfully transition these inquiries into formal quotations, product demos, and finalized transactions.
- Engage in consultative discovery sessions to assess customer requirements within agricultural sectors and showcase the benefits of Scale-Tec technologies, such as POINT®, CORE™, Kit-IQ™, Load Cells, Cabling, accessories, and various weighing solutions.
- Address and resolve technical or business-related concerns by utilizing product knowledge and offering customized suggestions that effectively meet the specific needs of the customer.
- Foster and enhance professional partnerships with dealers, ensuring their growth by providing instructional support, quote assistance, and inventory advice to optimize channel output.
- Maintain high data standards by promptly recording all client communications, price quotes, and purchase orders within the company CRM and ERP (NetSuite) platforms.
- Comply with and help refine the established sales workflow, including lead management, sales projections, and coordination with field representatives or technical specialists.
- Partner with departments such as marketing and operations to share field insights, refine promotional materials, and assist with campaign execution or new product rollouts.
- Remain informed on technical details, market competition, and agricultural industry developments to act as an expert resource and advisor for all customers.

Education and/or Experience
High School Degree
Agriculture equipment sales experience and knowledge of agriculture equipment specifically in production row crop and production livestock operations.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software; Spreadsheet software; Customer Relationship Management software; and web based software solutions.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
