This position requires a working knowledge of accounting software applications, and Excel. Knowledge of bookkeeping policies and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Processing and verifying invoices (making sure of proper approvals and documentation)
Ensuring timely payment of liabilities
Maintaining vendor relationships
Daily bookkeeping and record keeping
Assist with audit preparation (preparing reports and gathering documentation)
Managing all payments and expenses for the company and it’s various locations
Reconciling payable and receivable reports
Responding to financial queries
Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Analyzing workflow processes
Processing due invoices for payments
Billing for services provided to state agencies
Other duties as necessary related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Billing
Update of fixed assets recordsFiling of 1099 forms annually
Filing 1099 Forms Annually

High School Diploma or equivalent, with undergraduate or business studies in bookkeeping and/or accounting, or equivalent experience
2-4 Years of accounts payable experience preferred
Must have a good working knowledge of EXCEL.
Knowledgeable of computerized bookkeeping.
Able to work with minimal supervision and carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices
Able to give clear information, orally and in writing in English, and listen effectively
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a current, valid driver's license
Pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and criminal background
Provide a 10-year employment history and 3 social references
