We are...A fast-casual Asian restaurant satisfying guests with damn delicious, huge, made-to-order teriyaki bowls customized with all natural, fresh ingredients. Teriyaki Madness is a franchise system that helps people realize their entrepreneurial dreams while bringing amazing food to consumers.

We’re spreading our madness and growing! We have over 200 shops across the country and are opening many more in 2026 and beyond. We need a team member who is ready, willing, and able to jump in to support our growth.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support and play a key role in the month-end close activities and general accounting functions for multiple operating companies. This position will report to the VP and Controller. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to work for a fast-growing company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for generating weekly royalties invoices for the 200+ operating restaurants.
Producing other AR invoices as necessary.
Enter and code all vendor invoices. Record month-end accruals as necessary.
Review and reconcile employee expense reports.
Support and play a key role in the month-end close activities and general accounting functions
Prepare journal entries and ensure transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed, and supported in accordance with US GAAP, internal controls, and company policies.
Prepare and review account reconciliations.
Collaborate and serve as business partner with cost center owners for month-end accruals and reporting needs.
Prepare accounting schedules to support monthly and annual accounting close
Support audits, including preparation of audit requests.
Ensures compliance with internal controls.
Leverage IT tools to enable efficiencies and enhance accounting operations.
Business partner with other departments on accounting related projects.
Work on other ad-hoc projects as needed.
Some travel may be required.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in Corporate and Restaurant accounting
Solid working knowledge of US GAAP
Strong accounting and analytical skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong research and reconciliation skills required
Ability to identify and implement process improvement opportunities
Ability to adapt, communicate, and connect with teams in a diverse environment
Proficient in use of MS Office Suite, including an advanced understanding of Excel is required.
Knowledge and exposure to multi-company organizations a plus.
Ability to balance autonomous work and direction, remain flexible but continuously deliver high quality work on tight timelines with strong organizational and prioritization skills.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting
CPA or CPA candidate is desired but not required
