Job Summary
We are seeking a Jr. Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve production processes through lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and standardized work practices. This role partners closely with production, engineering, and sales to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support employee training and development.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in process improvement, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and manufacturing engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Research, develop, and implement best-practice manufacturing processes
- Analyze and improve workflows to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles to assembly processes
- Determine appropriate tooling, fixtures, and equipment for production
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams on continuous improvement initiatives
- Support and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and training materials
- Help establish and maintain standardized work procedures
- Propose and implement fixtures and process improvements to enhance production output
- Assist with employee training programs related to manufacturing processes and equipment
- Lead or support special manufacturing engineering projects as assigned
- Assist with maintaining and update Manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support production requirements and process improvements
- Support the review, implementation, and processing of Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
- Assist in the creation, revision, and maintenance of manufacturing work instructions, process documentation, and standardized work.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics
- Strong understanding of metrology, measurement systems, and arithmetic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and manufacturing software tools
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong organizational, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience assembling components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills (bilingual preferred)
Education & Experience
- Associates degree or bachelor's degree with some experience
- Experience in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, or industrial engineering preferred
- Wire harness assembly experience
- Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to sit and work at a workstation for prolonged periods
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks using hands and other body parts

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
