Full Job Description

Job Summary

The AVE Group is seeking an Manager to oversee the operations of both Novo Coffee kiosks at The Denver International Airport. We are looking for someone dedicated, experienced, and willing to jump in and support the GM in developing the team, managing costs, driving business growth, and ensuring a great customer service experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist the General Manager in effectively and efficiently managing the operation by following the best practices of The AVE Group and Novo Coffee to ensure guest satisfaction and profitability.
Assist the General Manager in managing the multi-unit day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation while maintaining food safety and hygiene regulations.
Oversee inventory control, including ordering supplies and managing stock levels to minimize waste.
Train, develop, and supervise staff to enhance their skills and ensure excellent customer service.
Assist the GM in ensuring the operation maintains specific standards, passing Health Department inspections with a 90% or better.
Increase sales by ensuring guest satisfaction and prompt problem resolution.
Manage cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records.
Implement effective shift management practices to optimize staff performance during peak hours.
Assist in recruiting, selecting, onboarding, training, communicating job expectations, and retention of team members through coaching, motivation, recognition and development as well as monitoring and disciplining when necessary.
Monitor customer feedback and address any concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned by upper management.

Wat We Are Looking For:

Proven experience in food service management or restaurant management roles.
Availability to work nights, weekends, flexible schedules, and holidays.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, written and oral communication as well as conflict resolution skills.
Basic computer literacy, basic math skills and strong analytical/decision-making skills.
Ability to delegate tasks to those capable of performing them.
Highly energetic, positive, self-motivated, goal oriented, engaging, dependable and maintains a professional appearance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.
4 years of experience in the food and beverage industry and 2 years of management experience.
Prior experience in Airport Concession is strongly preferred, not required.
Experience working in a Coffee Shop or like environment preferred.

PHYSICAL WORKING DEMANDS:

Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. The position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
