DESCRIPTION

KidStage is a national children’s after-school drama program. Our mission is to provide a fun, dynamic, physical and interactive learning experience for kids based in theatre. KidStage provides excellent experience for you in working with a group of children and teaching them how to be self-confident. As an instructor you will conduct basic auditions with the kids, cast the play, and then rehearse with the children over 8 weeks. You will then Direct the final production that the kids take part in.

SUMMARY

KidStage is looking for Afternoon Theater Instructors that are energetic, dynamic and fun and LOVE working with kids! If you desire flexibility and have your week-day afternoons (between about 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm) available, this job could be a great fit for you! You can choose your days and hours that you want to commit to teaching! Apply today to begin making a positive difference in the lives of children!

RESPONSIBILITIES

Theater Instructors will be teaching our established KidStage curriculum to elementary school students.

Teach children about the excitement of theater and provide a safe, interesting environment for each student.
Teach children self-expression and creativity and give them confidence through their participation in theatrical productions

REQUIREMENTS

Previous experience working with children
Reliable transportation to get to/from the elementary school locations where the classes are taught
Pass criminal background check

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Classes are held in the afternoons in the Douglas County, Cherry Creek, Jefferson County, Littleton Public, Denver Public, Aurora Public School Districts.
Classes meet once per week for 8-10 weeks. Classes will run between August and December, and then start up again in January through May. Summer Camp opportunities are also available depending on the schedule. You can teach as little as 1 class per week up to 5 classes per week based on your availability and class availability.
You are only committed to teach for each 8-10 week session at a time, and we run sessions throughout the school year. If you get offered work you will know in advance the days/times required for the following 8-10 week period and you can accept/reject the work offer. We will also give you the location so you can calculate your drive time to/from the location.
You will be provided and trained in our processes and curriculum.
Based on your performance/attendance to your classes, bonuses are available.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
