Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Culinary Aide to support our dietary and food service operations within assisted living, nursing home, or hospital settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation, handling, and sanitation, with a focus on delivering high-quality meals in a safe and efficient manner. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of residents and patients by ensuring nutritious, appealing meals are served with professionalism and care. The Culinary Aide will work closely with dietary staff to uphold food safety standards and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.

Duties

Assist with meal preparation and plating under the direction of the Cook or Dietary Manager.
Serve meals to residents in the dining room or deliver trays to resident rooms as assigned.
Ensure all meals and snacks are prepared and served according to prescribed diets and portion control guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in food preparation and dining areas.
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans; sanitize work surfaces and equipment.
Set up and clean dining areas before and after meals.
Stock food, beverages, and supplies in accordance with storage and safety regulations.
Follow infection control, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
Report any concerns regarding resident meal preferences, allergies, or dietary restrictions to the Culinary Supervisor.
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.

Skills

Experience working in the food industry is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and sanitation standards.
Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities.
Excellent time management skills to efficiently support meal service schedules.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment focused on resident or patient care.

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
