Full Job Description

We're hiring an Events Assistant in Dayton to help our team plan and run events across the area, from private parties and weddings to corporate functions and community gatherings. If you're organized, like working with people, and want to break into the events industry, this Events Assistant role is a solid place to start and grow.

No two days look the same, and a lot of the work happens in the final hours before doors open, so we're looking for someone who stays calm under pressure and isn't afraid to jump in wherever they're needed.

What you'll do as an Events Assistant

Support the events team through planning, setup, execution, and breakdown
Coordinate with vendors, caterers, and venue staff on timing and logistics
Run guest check-in and registration on event day
Set up and tear down spaces, including signage, seating, displays, and basic AV
Keep track of supplies and make sure nothing gets left behind
Be a friendly, reliable point of contact for guests and staff during events

What we're looking for in an Events Assistant

Some experience in events, hospitality, retail, or any role where you handled a lot at once. Internships, campus events, and volunteer work all count.
A naturally organized person who keeps track of details and follows a plan
Comfortable on your feet for long stretches and able to lift and move event materials
Calm and personable when plans shift last minute (they will)
Flexible availability. Events happen on evenings, weekends, and holidays, so this isn't a standard nine-to-five.
