Full Job Description

Dynamic Group is a national general contractor with divisions spanning heavy civil construction, building construction, and emergency response. Our civil construction capabilities include grading, drainage, subsurface utilities, pile driving, marine construction, and deep foundation work. Our building division operates at scale. We construct commercial, industrial, and government facilities, and we manage large residential construction programs spanning more than 30,000 homes from Hawaii to Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and across the Southeast. When disaster strikes, our emergency response teams offer debris removal, site logistics, haul-and-install operations, and base camp construction, and we stay through recovery. Position Summary

The Beneﬁts Specialist is an integral member of the Human Resources team and is responsible for the day-to-day administration and coordination of the organization’s employee beneﬁts programs. This position serves as a primary resource for employees regarding beneﬁts questions, assists with enrollment and eligibility, manages beneﬁts-related invoices and records, and works closely with insurance carriers, brokers, and other beneﬁt providers to ensure accurate and timely administration of employee beneﬁts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and comfortable handling conﬁdential employee information while providing excellent customer service to employees and internal stakeholders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administer the organization’s employee beneﬁts programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, supplemental beneﬁts, and other offerings.
Serve as a primary point of contact for employees with questions regarding beneﬁts, eligibility, enrollment, coverage, claims, and changes in beneﬁts.
Coordinate new-hire beneﬁts enrollment, qualifying life event changes, annual open enrollment, and termination of beneﬁts.
Maintain accurate employee beneﬁts records and ensure employee eligibility information is current.
Review and reconcile monthly beneﬁts invoices for accuracy, including employee elections, additions, terminations, and changes.
Coordinate with Finance/Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing of beneﬁt deductions and payments.
Communicate regularly with insurance carriers, third-party administrators, beneﬁts brokers, and other vendors to resolve enrollment, billing, eligibility, and coverage issues.
Investigate and resolve employee and carrier issues in a timely and professional manner.
Assist with beneﬁts audits and reconciliation processes to identify and correct discrepancies.
Prepare and maintain beneﬁts-related reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and documentation.
Assist with the annual open enrollment process, including employee communications, informational materials, enrollment support, and coordination with beneﬁt vendors.
Monitor employee eligibility and ensure beneﬁts are administered in accordance with plan documents and applicable policies.
Assist with required beneﬁts notices, compliance activities, and documentation.
Maintain conﬁdentiality and security of employee beneﬁts and personal information.
Stay informed regarding changes to beneﬁts plans, policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Assist the Human Resources team with special projects and other HR-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualiﬁcations

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related ﬁeld preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
2+ years of experience in employee beneﬁts, Human Resources, payroll, or a related administrative role preferred.
Strong understanding of employee beneﬁts administration and enrollment processes.
Experience working with insurance carriers, beneﬁts brokers, and/or third-party beneﬁt administrators preferred.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to review and reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to handle sensitive and conﬁdential information with discretion.
Proﬁciency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Experience with HRIS, beneﬁts administration, or payroll systems preferred.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
