Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Associate to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, The Quality Assurance (QA) oversees and ensures compliance with regulatory and quality standards in the packaging. This role ensures that all packaging processes, materials, and final products meet company policies, FDA regulations, cGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and other applicable industry standards. The QA will develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) and ensure continuous improvement in quality processes.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP, and other industry standards.
Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) inspections and audits of packaging materials, labeling, and finished products to prevent errors and ensure accuracy.
Ensure proper documentation practices (GDP) are followed, including batch records, deviation reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FDA, cGMP, USP, and ISO 13485 standards and ensure the facility complies with these regulations.
Manage customer complaints and product recalls, conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance packaging quality and efficiency.
Identify and address risks related to contamination, mislabeling, and packaging integrity.
Implement quality control checks at critical points in the packaging process to minimize defects.
Conduct trend analysis on quality issues and implement corrective measures to mitigate risks.
Prepare for and lead internal and external audits, including FDA, third-party, and customer audits.
Develop and deliver quality training programs for packaging and production staff to ensure compliance and awareness of quality standards.
Work closely with regulatory agencies and corporate quality teams to ensure all quality requirements are met.
Manage and mentor the QA team, ensuring proper staffing, training, and performance management.
Collaborate with Production, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain teams to maintain high-quality packaging standards.
Work with vendors to ensure incoming packaging materials meet quality requirements.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, cGMP, and quality control principles in pharmaceutical packaging. Experience with CAPA, deviation management, root cause analysis, and validation processes. Ability to lead audits and interact with regulatory authorities. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills to work cross-functionally.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience if any: 3 + years are recommended

Practical skill: Prior experience managing QA/QC teams and working in a cGMP environment.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
