We serve clients throughout Annapolis, Anne Arundel County, Kent Island, Kent County, and surrounding areas. Depending on the project location, workdays may begin from our meeting location on Kent Island.
Position Overview:
Pleasant Trees, LLC is seeking a highly motivated Arborist Assistant / Groundman / Driver who wants to build a career in professional arboriculture.
This position works directly with the owner on residential tree care projects and plays an essential role in the success of every job. The ideal candidate is physically capable, communicates clearly, maintains a professional attitude, and has the desire to learn, grow, and take on increasing responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company vehicles and transport equipment to job sites
- Back trailers safely and efficiently (required skill)
- Maintain a safe and organized work zone throughout the job
- Move and process tree debris by dragging brush, feeding the chipper, stacking wood, and assisting with cleanup
- Rake and restore work areas to leave properties clean and professional
- Provide ground support for climbing and aerial lift operations
- Assist with rigging, rope systems, and tree removal operations
- Safely operate chainsaws, chippers, loaders, and other equipment as training and experience allow
- Perform daily equipment checks and communicate clearly with the arborist to complete jobs safely and efficiently

Physical Requirements:
Tree care is physically demanding work. Candidates must be capable of lifting, carrying, dragging brush, moving logs, working outdoors in changing weather conditions, and maintaining a productive pace throughout the day.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to safely back a trailer required
- Reliable transportation required
- Previous experience in tree care, landscaping, construction, agriculture, or other outdoor industries preferred
