We are currently hiring two full-time Social Services Assistants. Each position has a different work schedule.
Tuesday through Saturday: 3:30 PM - 12:00 Midnight
Days Off: Sunday and Monday
Tuesday through Saturday: 12:00 Midnight - 8:30 AM
Days Off: Sunday and Monday

The Social Services Assistant supports the daily care, development, supervision, and well-being of students at the Pine Ridge Job Corps Center.
This position works directly with young adults in a residential environment, providing guidance, support, positive behavioral reinforcement, and assistance with students' personal and social development.
The Social Services Assistant serves as a positive role model and helps students develop the responsibility, interpersonal skills, appropriate behaviors, and life skills necessary for success in Job Corps and future employment.

Provide guidance, supervision, and support to students in a residential Job Corps environment.

Build positive and professional relationships with students while maintaining appropriate boundaries.

Encourage positive behavior, personal responsibility, accountability, and respect.

Assist students with developing appropriate social, interpersonal, and independent-living skills.

Provide support to students experiencing personal, behavioral, or social challenges.

Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive environment for students.

Observe student behavior and appropriately address or report concerns.

Assist with conflict resolution and positive behavioral interventions.

Support established student behavior-management and conduct policies.

Communicate effectively with students, counselors, residential staff, management, and other members of the student-support team.

Maintain accurate and confidential documentation regarding student activities, incidents, progress, and other required information.

Participate in student-support and case-management activities as required.

Follow all Job Corps policies, procedures, safety requirements, and applicable program guidelines.

Promptly report safety concerns, incidents, and other matters requiring management attention.

The ideal candidate is dependable, patient, compassionate, and comfortable working directly with young adults in a structured residential environment.
Successful candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrate sound judgment, maintain appropriate professional boundaries, and be able to remain calm and professional when addressing challenging situations.
Candidates should also be comfortable working independently during evening or overnight hours while remaining attentive to student safety and well-being.
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field preferred
- Experience working with at-risk youth or young adults strongly preferred
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skill
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
