Location: Mercersburg, PA

Shift: 2nd Shift | 4:30 PM – 3:00 AM | Monday – Thursday (Enjoy a 3-day weekend!)

Job Type: Full-time

Starting Pay: $20.00 to $30.00 / hour (Based on experience, plus a shift premium!)

What You Will Do (Job Responsibilities)

As an Experienced CNC Machinist, you will efficiently and productively set up, program, and operate a variety of machines to produce high-precision parts. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Setup & Machining: Set up, fixture, and machine complex features on a variety of parts using engine lathes, turret lathes, drills, milling machines, NC, and CNC machines.
Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, including GD&T and/or Mazatrol, to determine the correct sequence of operations.
Programming: Learn, conduct, and execute minor to major machine programming changes as needed.
Precision Inspection: Use specialized inspection and measuring tools to verify part conformance to tight tolerances.
Multi-Setup Operations: Utilize multiple setups to machine parts with a variety of intricate features.
Environmental Safety: Properly handle and dispose of hazardous fluids in accordance with ISO 14001 standards.
Team Collaboration: Communicate and work effectively with team members involved in co-assigned machining projects to maintain a productive workflow.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of prior machining experience preferred (specifically with CNC mills, lathes, saws, and drills).
Skills:
Proven experience working with exotic materials and holding tight tolerances.
Ability to read complex drawings/blueprints and comfortably use precision inspection equipment.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to adjust programming.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Physical Ability: Regularly stand, use hands/fingers to handle tools, and safely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, and reach.
Vision: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
Environment: Regularly work near moving mechanical parts in a loud manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
