FYZICAL Therapy and Balance Center is recognized as one of the leading physical therapy franchises in the country, and we are expanding our team! With three convenient locations in Hagerstown, MD, South Hagerstown, MD, and Waynesboro, PA, we are committed to providing cutting-edge care, with a focus on our #1 Balance and Vestibular Program.

As a growing practice, we are looking for a passionate licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. Position Overview:

As a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver high-quality care that helps patients recover from injuries, regain functionality, and achieve their rehabilitation goals. You will assist in the implementation of treatment plans, track patient progress, and provide hands-on support to maximize recovery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in delivering physical therapy treatments based on individualized treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists.
Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate records in compliance with clinic and regulatory standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Observe and monitor patient progress during therapy, reporting changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Assist patients with exercises and functional tasks to help restore mobility and strength, ensuring they complete exercises correctly and safely.
Help patients safely transition to and from the therapy area as needed.
Measure and document patient performance, including any improvements or setbacks, within the patient's medical record.

Qualifications:

Experience: At least 2 years of experience in physical therapy, rehabilitation, or a related field.
Skills: Hands-on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and physical modalities.
Physical Requirements: Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including assisting patients with movement and exercises.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients, therapists, and the healthcare team.
Documentation: Solid healthcare administration and documentation skills.
Leadership: Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to guide and support patients throughout their rehabilitation process.
Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting (PTA) from an accredited program.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure to practice as a PTA or relevant certification. Bilingual skills are a plus.
