ACCOUNTING OFFICE MANAGER
SAM LEMAN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP – CHAMPAIGN, IL

The Sam Leman Automotive Group is one of Central Illinois' largest and most respected automotive groups. Family-owned since 1963, we proudly operate multiple dealerships across the region and employ hundreds of dedicated team members. With a reputation built on integrity, customer service, and long-term employee success, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Office Manager to join our Champaign leadership team.

What You'll Do

Lead and manage the daily operations of the dealership accounting office
Supervise, train, and support accounting staff
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes
Review and reconcile general ledger accounts and financial schedules
Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable
Oversee vehicle deal posting, funding, and reconciliation
Assist with payroll processing and employee record maintenance as needed
Prepare and analyze financial reports for dealership and corporate leadership
Maintain compliance with internal controls, manufacturer requirements, and company policies
Partner with department managers to improve processes and resolve discrepancies
Assist with audits and financial reporting requirements

Qualifications

Automotive dealership accounting experience is required
Previous management or supervisory experience preferred
Strong understanding of dealership accounting procedures and financial reporting
Experience with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar dealership management systems preferred
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
