Full Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool team. The Float Pool RN provides high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units based on staffing needs. The ideal candidate is clinically competent, flexible, and able to quickly adapt to different patient populations and healthcare teams while maintaining exceptional standards of care.

Responsibilities

Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to patients across multiple hospital units.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies.
Monitor patient conditions and promptly report changes to the healthcare team.
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient care.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
Demonstrate flexibility by floating to various departments based on operational needs.
Respond effectively in emergency situations while maintaining professionalism and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Minimum of 1–2 years of recent acute care hospital experience preferred.
Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS may be required depending on assigned units.
Strong critical thinking, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to different clinical environments.
