RGB Halo Kits is a growing automotive lighting company specializing in custom multicolor LED lighting upgrades for cars and trucks.
We design, assemble, and sell custom headlights, LED halo kits, DRL boards, underglow kits, illuminated emblems, and other automotive lighting products used by enthusiasts and professional installers across the country.
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined person to join our team as a Custom Automotive Headlight Assembly Technician.
This is a hands-on position focused primarily on building, modifying, wiring, testing, and preparing custom automotive headlights. This is not a general warehouse or office role.
What You’ll DoCustom Headlight Assembly
- Disassemble and reassemble automotive headlights
- Install LED halo rings, DRL boards, demon eyes, wiring, and other lighting components
- Route, connect, solder, and secure wiring inside headlight assemblies
- Use adhesives, sealants, heat guns, rotary tools, hand tools, and other assembly equipment
- Follow internal build guides and repeatable assembly procedures
- Inspect completed headlights for appearance, fitment, wiring quality, and proper operation
- Test lighting functions before products are approved for shipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation
Quality Control and Troubleshooting
- Identify damaged, incorrect, or defective components before installation
- Troubleshoot basic wiring, connection, and lighting issues
- Confirm that completed products meet company quality standards
- Document build issues and communicate problems clearly to the team
- Help improve assembly methods, consistency, and overall product quality
Product and Operations Support
Headlight assembly will be the primary responsibility, but team members may occasionally assist with:
- Preparing components and products for upcoming builds
- Organizing parts, tools, and inventory
- Verifying that kits contain the correct components
- Reviewing returned or warranty products
- Taking clear photos or short videos during builds
- Documenting wiring steps, product details, and installation notes
- Helping improve internal build guides and customer installation instructions
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who enjoys building products, working with their hands, and paying attention to small details.
The right candidate should have:
- Previous hands-on experience with automotive work, wiring, electronics, mechanical assembly, fabrication, manufacturing, car audio, aftermarket accessories, or a similar field
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfort working with wiring, small components, adhesives, sealants, and hand tools
- The ability to follow detailed instructions and repeat processes consistently
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- A strong work ethic and willingness to stay productive throughout the day
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- A coachable attitude and willingness to improve
- The ability to work independently after training
- Basic computer and smartphone skills
- The ability to lift packages or products weighing up to 40 pounds
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:
- Automotive repair or customization
- Automotive wiring or 12-volt electronics
- Car audio or aftermarket accessory installation
- Headlight or taillight modification
- Soldering and electrical connections
- Mechanical or electronic assembly
- Manufacturing or production work
- Fabrication, model building, or other detailed hands-on projects
- Quality-control inspection and product testing
Previous professional headlight-building experience is not required. However, applicants should already have meaningful hands-on experience building, repairing, wiring, modifying, or assembling products.
General warehouse experience by itself is not sufficient for this position.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-person position at our facility in Gilbert, Arizona.
The role involves:
- Detailed bench assembly
- Working with automotive headlights and electronic components
- Standing or sitting at a workstation for extended periods
- Using hand tools, heat guns, adhesives, sealants, and rotary tools
- Completing detailed and sometimes repetitive assembly processes
- Maintaining an organized and professional work area
- Working in a fast-paced environment where quality and accuracy matter
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a consistent 40-hour Monday-through-Friday schedule.
Candidates must be available to work the full established daytime schedule. This is not a seasonal, remote, or temporary position.
Compensation
Starting pay is $20–$23 per hour, depending on relevant experience and demonstrated skill.
Candidates with limited directly related experience may start near the lower end of the range while completing training.
Candidates with strong automotive, wiring, fabrication, electronics, or professional assembly experience may qualify for a higher starting rate within the posted range.
