Full Job Description

Job Title: House Manager

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

Work Schedule: 4-6hrs per week/1 full day per week.

Seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and proactive House Manager to oversee the seamless operation and maintenance of a custom residence. The House Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the property, including staff supervision, vendor coordination, inventory management, and ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and guest experience. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, unwavering discretion, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the homeowners while maintaining a sophisticated and luxurious environment. The House Manager will work closely with the homeowners’ Personal Assistant to ensure cohesive support and must be available off-hours as needed, particularly during guest visits, parties, or special events.

Key Responsibilities

Property Oversight: Ensure the residence is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. Conduct regular inspections of the interior and exterior, addressing any issues promptly.
Vendor Coordination: Liaise with contractors, landscapers, repair technicians, and other service providers to schedule and oversee maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
Inventory Control: Manage household supplies, including cleaning products, linens, pantry items, and luxury amenities. Maintain accurate records and reorder as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Budget Management: Develop and monitor an annual household budget, tracking expenses and providing regular financial reports to the homeowners.
Security & Safety: Oversee security systems, coordinate with security personnel if applicable, and ensure all safety protocols (e.g., fire alarms, emergency preparedness) are in place and maintained.
Guest Experience: Anticipate and fulfill the needs of the homeowners and their guests, always ensuring a welcoming and luxurious experience, with availability to assist during off-hours as needed.
Collaboration: Work closely with the homeowners’ Personal Assistant to align schedules, priorities, and tasks, ensuring seamless support for the household.
Special Projects: Manage renovations, custom installations, or other property-related projects as directed by the homeowners.
Discretion: Exercise the utmost discretion and confidentiality regarding the homeowners’ personal matters, schedules, guests, and preferences at all times.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role (e.g., house manager, estate manager, or hospitality management) within a luxury residential or high-end service environment.

Skills

Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong leadership and staff management experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in budgeting and financial oversight.
Knowledge of high-end home systems (e.g., smart home technology, HVAC, plumbing).
Basic project management skills for overseeing repairs or upgrades.

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (e.g., hospitality, business management) or equivalent professional experience.
