Position Summary
The Lincoln County Fairgrounds Supervisor is responsible for the daily operations, administration, maintenance coordination, and event management of the County Fairgrounds. This position requires strong leadership, organization, communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced and growing environment. The Supervisor must maintain a high level of professionalism while working with County elected officials, Fair Board members, vendors, staff, and the public.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Administrative & Financial Responsibilities
- Process and pay bills through purchase orders in accordance with County procedures.
- Run necessary business errands and pick up supplies as needed.
- Work closely with the County Clerk’s Office and Treasurer’s Office on financial and administrative matters.
- Coordinate with the U.S. Post Office regarding Fairgrounds correspondence.
- Prepare agendas for Fair Board meetings.
- Attend Fair Board meetings, Commissioner meetings (when necessary), and budget meetings.
- Maintain organized records to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Event & Program Management
- Manage and operate the “ShoWorks” program, including all data entry for livestock shows.
- Schedule events and maintain the facility calendar.
- Answer phone calls and respond to public inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Advertise and promote the Fairgrounds facility to recruit new business and increase facility usage.
- Provide on-site leadership during livestock shows and events, overseeing staff and interacting with the public.
Customer Service & Public Relations
- Greet the public and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain professional working relationships with Lincoln County elected officials and Fair Board members.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, event coordinators, staff, and community members.
- Accept professional criticism constructively and demonstrate a willingness to assist wherever needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Supervise employees and provide leadership during events and livestock shows.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Adapt to facility growth, increasing responsibilities, and potential expansion of staff.
Facility & Grounds Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor as needed.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods of time.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Operate or be willing to learn to operate equipment including:
o Tractor and related implements
o RTV
o Vacuum trailer
o Lawn mower
o Weed eater
- Assist with facility setup, teardown, and general maintenance support.

Qualifications
Required:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work odd and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and growing environment.
- Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively with elected officials and board members.
Preferred:
- Experience with livestock and livestock shows.
- Previous experience managing or working at a fairgrounds facility.
- Experience supervising employees.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $3,600.00 - $4,600.00 per month
