General Functions: Assist with the provision of behavioral services to individuals with disabilities requiring such services.

Specific Functions:

Work with program staff to ensure that staff have access to the most current behavior support plans available.
Develop and maintain a system to track staff training on behavior support plans.
Coordinate behavioral training activities within the programs.
Assist with training staff on the proper implementation of behavior support and skill acquisition programs, including conducting behavior support plan drills with staff as assigned.
With program staff, develop and maintain a system to ensure that behavioral data including incident reports are completely accurately, in a timely fashion, and in compliance with agency policy.
Assist with development and implementation of data collection systems on behaviors of concern. Monitor staff documentation.
Assist with the development and implementation of behavior support and skill acquisition programs.
Observe and provide feedback to staff implementing behavior support programs and skill acquisition programs to ensure proper implementation.
Enter behavioral data into appropriate software and assist in providing visual representations and clinical interpretations of the data as requested.
Complete client observations to provide information for psychiatric reviews and attend psychiatric reviews, if indicated.
Provide crisis intervention as necessary.
With other Behavioral Services staff, provide on-site support to staff with regard to behavior support plans and general proactive strategies for client interactions (positive behavioral supports) at all day program sites and/or residential sites.
Assist day program staff in providing clients access to community activities.
Provide behavioral consultation to staff in the Behavioral Health Clinic when necessary.
Assist with ensuring that clients receive active treatment.
With other Behavioral Services staff, provide training to all agency staff on crisis intervention strategies if needed.
Collect program data as required for performance management purposes.
Complete behavioral observation of potential or existing clients as directed. Generate written reports of observations.
Conduct quality assurance activities including, but not limited to, the following: Check for current behavior support programs, documentation and availability of reinforcers at Program sites.
Carry emergency behavioral cell phone during non-working hours and promptly respond to calls on a rotating basis with other behavior analysis staff. Willing to work at Joliet and Kankakee Locations.
Be available to work early evening hours two days each week as requested.
Document all activities in a timely and accurate fashion which complies with the standards established by the funder(s).
Meet or exceed the monthly billing benchmark established for the position.
Accompany clients to the emergency room when appropriate if their behavior and/or psychiatric problem(s) require hospitalization.
Participate in all agency and department meetings and trainings and any additionally recommended meetings or trainings unless otherwise authorized.
Operate agency and personal vehicle in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain current certifications in FA/CPR, Safety Care, RBT, and any other required certifications.
Respond per established procedures with a “safety first” mentality to all emergency situations, including medical, behavioral, fire, severe weather, and other hazards.
Other related duties as assigned by Director/Coordinator of Behavioral Services.
Maintain ongoing compliance with all agency-related training and certification requirements.

Qualifications: BA degree in psychology, special education, rehabilitation or related social services. Specialized training in behavior analysis is required. Applicants must be able to be approved to provide Behavior Therapy services with the State of Illinois within 12 months of hire (http://www.dhs.state.il.us). Ability to bill at the time of hire highly preferred. Reliable transportation during working hours, excellent driving record and auto insurance in accordance with agency policy. A post-offer physical and criminal background check required. Reliable transportation required. EOE.

Pay: $25.59 - $27.59 per hour
