First Secure Bank Group, Inc. is a dynamic and rapidly expanding community bank holding company dedicated to serving local neighborhoods with personalized banking services. Established seven years ago, the holding company has significantly strengthened over the past three and is entering its next phase of growth and operational maturity. We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer to bring structure, alignment, and consistency across our organization and affiliated bank charters.

This is a high-impact role for a leader who thrives in building, refining, and elevating operations within a regulated environment. As COO, you will partner directly with executive leadership to translate strategy into execution, strengthen infrastructure, and position the organization for long-term success.

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead our operational initiatives and drive sustainable growth across our banking network. This pivotal leadership role involves planning, organizing and controlling all day-to-day operational activities under the direction of the President and CEO. The COO will work closely with senior leadership to ensure operational excellence and align our services with community needs.

Duties

Demonstrate highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adhere to company’s policies and procedures, and comply with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.
Work with compliance department and review applicable reports to ensure the banks are operating within acceptable regulatory standards.
Review departmental monitoring reports specific to all areas, including but not limited to, Regulatory Compliance, Internal Audit, BSA, Deposit Operations and Loan Operations.
Collaborate with direct reports on resolutions of any identified weakness to help mitigate risk.
Direct overall operations of the Holding Company.
Coordinates activities in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Provides oversight and direction to his/her direct reports in order to develop and implement financial institution operating policies and procedures in coordination with bank senior management teams.
Analyzes operational problems and assists in the development of procedures and processes for resolution.
Provides oversight and direction to his/her direct reports in order to develop and maintain manuals and references, including ensuring training initiatives are met to effectively implement financial institution policies and procedures.
Recommends equipment changes, reviews, and approves equipment expenditures.
Provides oversight and direction to his/her direct reports in order to ensure efficient operation of data processingand other technical services.
Participates with the Holding Company Chief Executive Officer and other senior management to develop long and short-term goals and to set policy.
Interacts with affiliate bank CEOs to determine strategical and operational priorities and goals.
Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervisor responsibility can include IT Manager, VP Operations, Loan Operations Manager, CCO, VP Compliance Officer, CFO, VP HR, VP Marketing Director, and facilities Manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, law, economics, or a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Ten years or more of financial institution operations, management, and regulatory requirements.

Skills

Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required for this position.
Understanding of banking industry regulations, data privacy laws, and compliance requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with bank staff at all levels.
Effective leadership, management and HR skills.
Knowledge of Jack Henry Silverlake desired
The ability to learn job or bank specific software applications.
Ability to conduct extensive research and apply data to improve internal programs.
Ability to learn and perform complex processes to meet specific procedures, policies and bank regulations that govern the company.
Excellent organizational and time management skills to maintain workflow volume.
Extensive proven background in financial institution operating policies and procedures including statistical and technical operations

Physical Demands:

The ability to sit for long periods of time.
The ability to see clearly at a distance of 20 inches or less, with or without corrective lenses, to read documents and/or view computer screen.
The ability to hear, with or without hearing assistant, and talk and to communicate in person and via phone.
The ability to use hands/fingers to enter, retrieve and/or manipulate data using a keyboard and computer daily.
