Full Job Description

Loudoun Medical Group (LMG), one of the largest and most diverse physician-owned, multi-specialty group practices in Virginia, has an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced Medical Receptionist to support a busy Internal Medicine practice in Lansdowne, Virginia.

General Patient Service Representative responsibilities include:

Assisting at the front desk
Scheduling appointments; placing reminder calls
Check patients in and out using the practices’ management system
Collects and verifies all demographic and insurance information on patients. Enters information in the computer
Prepares chart with necessary paperwork for patient to be seen by the physician
Present all policies and obtain signatures on needed forms and consents, as well as collect all appropriate billing forms (ABNs, HIPAA, etc.) and scans these documents into the appropriate database
Collect payments and post them to the patients’ accounts
Answers telephones, screens calls, takes messages and provides information
Schedule follow up appointments for patients
Opens and closes office per office
Maintain cleanliness of the lobby and front office area
Exhibits and maintains a high degree of professionalism and decorum in all situations and in addition to confidentiality, flexibility and accountability
Other general duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

2 years medical practice experience
Must possess exceptional customer service skills
Must be able to work independently and on a team
Must have problem-solving skills
EMR experience preferred (Pulse and/or ECW)
Professional demeanor
Bi-lingual preferred, but not required
