Positions We're Hiring For Cashier / Inside Sales Associate
Perfect for someone who is outgoing, organized, and loves customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers and creating a welcoming experience
- Operating the register and accurately handling transactions
- Answering customer questions and helping locate products
- Learning about our products so you can confidently assist customers
- Stocking and maintaining merchandise
- Keeping the sales floor clean, organized, and customer-ready
- Answering phones and assisting with general customer needs
- Helping wherever needed during busy periods
Outside Sales Associate
Perfect for someone who loves plants, enjoys being outdoors, and likes helping customers find the right products.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting and proactively assisting customers in our outdoor sales areas
- Helping customers select plants and gardening products
- Learning about our plant material and providing helpful recommendations
- Watering, deadheading, pruning, and maintaining plant material
- Stocking and organizing plant displays
- Unloading and processing plant deliveries
- Maintaining clean, attractive, and well-organized sales areas
- Helping customers load purchases when needed
Previous plant knowledge is a plus, but a genuine interest in plants and willingness to learn is just as important.
Lot Attendant
Perfect for someone who likes staying active, working outdoors, and isn't afraid of physical work.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting customers and offering assistance
- Loading soil, mulch, plants, pottery, pumpkins, and other purchases into customer vehicles
- Retrieving and organizing carts and wagons
- Stocking soil, mulch, and other outdoor products
- Assisting with unloading and organizing deliveries
- Keeping parking, loading, and outdoor areas clean and organized
- Helping maintain displays and merchandise
- Assisting other departments wherever needed
Baker
Perfect for someone who enjoys baking, takes pride in their work, and is organized, dependable, and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing and baking a variety of Reston Farm baked goods
- Following recipes and preparation standards consistently
- Preparing products for daily sales and maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Keeping bakery and food-preparation areas clean, organized, and sanitary
- Properly storing, labeling, and rotating ingredients and finished products
- Monitoring product quality and presentation
- Restocking bakery displays and keeping them customer-ready
- Managing multiple baking and preparation tasks efficiently
- Following all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assisting with other bakery, food, and market responsibilities as needed
Previous baking, food service, kitchen, or food-preparation experience is preferred, but we're also interested in dependable candidates who enjoy baking and are willing to learn.

Schedule & Availability
Both part-time and full-time positions are available.
Applicants must have consistent availability throughout September and October and be able to maintain the weekly availability they are hired for through November 1st.
Weekend availability is especially important during our fall season.

What does having a strong work ethic and being a dependable employee mean to you?
- There will be times when your primary responsibilities are caught up and a manager may not immediately have another task for you.
If you finished everything you were assigned and noticed things around the Garden Market that could be cleaned, stocked, organized, or improved, what would you do?
- All positions at Reston Farm Garden Market are active and hands-on. Employees are required to spend extended periods standing and walking and may also be responsible for stocking merchandise, moving plants and products, unloading deliveries, and assisting customers with their purchases.
Are you able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs and remain standing and active throughout your scheduled shift?
