Associate Pastor for Student Ministries, Part Time; Youth Minister
Summary
Antioch Baptist Church is seeking a part time associate youth minister responsible for the development and promotion of the program and ministry of our children and youth. Reporting to the Pastor and Personnel Advisory Committee, you will plan, conduct, coordinate and evaluate all programs and ministries for the children and youth through Sunday School, camps, retreats and other appropriate activities. You will be working with a dedicated and responsive group of parents and volunteers who share your desire for the growth of both the children and programs, as well as a supportive and fostering staff.

Responsibilities
· Provide leadership over youth and family ministries
· Provide encouragement and discipleship for the youth, focusing on biblical teaching and spiritual health for our youth and their families.
· Coordinate, promote and implement quality spiritual education programs for our youth, including bible studies, fellowship, VBS, outreach events, camps, retreats and mission trips; with growth and development in biblical truth and Christ’s salvation as key outcomes.
· Conduct youth services/studies, plan youth activities, counsel youth and/or families as needed and coordinate Children’s Church
· Assist the Pastor in the implementation of special events, services and programs as requested.
· Serve on several church committees that enhance the development and safety of our youth and church family.
Qualifications
· Accept the Gospel and proclaim its truth
· Exhibit a personal and growing relationship with God, living a life filled with love for the Lord and guided by the Holy Spirit
· Exhibit evidence of Christian character and servant leadership as stated in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Peter 5:1-4
· Have a strong biblical knowledge and a desire to share the Word
· Possess the ability to engage the youth in their learning through lessons and activities
· Possess a calling and joy for youth and family ministry
· Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, across generational spans
· Have at least 2 years’ experience working with youth in a staff or volunteer position
Preferences
· Have or are working towards a degree in ministry and/or child development
· Experience with managing and reporting budgets
· Experience coordinating and managing a large group of volunteers
Compensation
· Salary range $25-$30K, depending on experience and education
· Parsonage (3 bed, 2.5 bath)
· Health insurance supplement
· Paid time off
· Flexible schedule and less than 30 hrs per week (required on Sundays and Wednesday evening)
