Assignment Overview

Shift: Days, 4x10hrs
Hours: 40 hrs/wk
Start Date: Sep 14, 2026
Length: 13 weeks

Description

American Traveler is hiring a Maternal Fetal Ultrasound Technologist requiring 3+ years of complex OB/GYN or vascular scanning experience and Fetal Echocardiography certification.

Details

Hospital-based OB Ultrasound unit within a maternal fetal medicine setting
13-week assignment
Schedule of 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday
No on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience performing complex OB/GYN or vascular scans
Previous MFM (Maternal Fetal Medicine) Ultrasound Technologist experience required
Completion of a 12-month program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography/General Ultrasound or equivalent certificate program
BLS certification required
ARDMS registration in OB and OB/GYN required
Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification required
License required if applicable
Skilled in needle procedure guidance, maternal pelvic anatomy examination, transvaginal cervical assessment, advanced 3D/4D techniques, biophysical profiles, maternal/fetal Doppler, and amniotic fluid assessments

Additional Information

Assist radiologists in performing invasive diagnostic techniques specialized to maternal fetal ultrasound processes
Provide standardization and training to residents regarding maternal fetal ultrasound exams
Consult with patients and evaluate contraindications prior to procedures
Perform essential maternal-fetal ultrasound exams including detailed anatomical evaluation, complete fetal echocardiogram, growth assessment, and fetal wellbeing assessments
Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures and record anatomical, pathological, and physiological data for physician interpretation
Assist supervising physicians with invasive procedures as required
Analyze sonography findings throughout exams to ensure comprehensive data collection
Advise radiologists and referring OB providers of examination results and preliminary diagnostic findings
